Ferðaþjónustan Svínafelli

Svínafelli sits in Öræfi, in the shadow of Iceland's highest peak. The campsite keeps things simple. Everyone uses the Skáli service building, which has bathrooms, showers and cooking facilities — you bring your own pots and cutlery. A couple of things worth knowing before you arrive: there's no advance booking, so it's turn-up-and-pitch, and there are no electrical hookups for campervans or caravans. If you need power, plan around it. Down in the reception basement there's a coin-operated washing machine and dryer with drying lines, and the reception has free Wi-Fi. Cottages and sleeping-bag accommodation are available if you'd rather not camp. The season runs from 1 May to 30 September.
