Can I camp anywhere in Iceland?
Wild camping in campervans is not permitted. You must use designated campsites — we've mapped all 338 of them on our interactive map for easy planning.
Is a campervan warm enough in winter?
Yes! All campervans come with diesel or electric heating. Many travelers comfortably camp in Iceland during winter. Just bring warm layers for outside.
Do I need a special license?
No. A regular car license (category B) is all you need. All our campervans are under 3,500 kg and easy to drive.
What about showers?
Most campsites have shower facilities (500-700 ISK). Larger campervans include their own bathroom. Plus, Iceland has amazing natural hot springs!
Can I drive F-roads in a campervan?
Standard campervans cannot go on F-roads. If you want highland access, choose a 4WD campervan option or add a separate 4x4 rental day.
How much do campsites cost?
Campsite fees range from 1,500-3,000 ISK per person per night (roughly €10-20). Many accept the Camping Card for unlimited stays during summer.
