Blue Lagoon

About

Blue Lagoon is a geothermal lagoon in the Reykjanes Peninsula of Iceland.

It runs on water first used at the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power station, and it's roughly 20 km from Keflavík International Airport — which helps explain why it's one of the most visited attractions in the country.

There's nothing quite like soaking in geothermal water surrounded by Icelandic landscape. Time slows down.

Bring a towel and change of clothes. Changing facilities at natural springs range from 'basic hut' to 'behind that rock over there.'
