About

Hundafoss is a 25-meter waterfall on the Stórilækur stream in Iceland's South Coast.

Hundafoss is a waterfall in Skaftafell National Park (part of Vatnajökull National Park) in southeastern Iceland, in the municipality of Hornafjörður. It is formed by the stream Stórilækur (Icelandic for "large brook"), which flows on into the Skaftafellsá. The waterfall has a drop of 24 metres and a width of 2 metres. It lies below the waterfalls Svartifoss and Magnúsarfoss, and is barely visible from the footpath that leads from the Skaftafell information centre to Svartifoss. A second, separate waterfall also named Hundafoss exists in the Westfjords, where the river Dynjandisá drops below Dynjandi (Fjallfoss).
