Miðjanes

Miðjanes is built on three levels, which gives it both shelter and a clear view out over Breiðafjörður. It's a tidy little site with electricity, a shower, toilets, a washing machine, an outdoor sink and tables for eating outside. There's not much on site beyond that, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. What it has going for it is the bay view, the wind protection, and a season that stretches from early May to early November — wider than most. Reykhólar is only 5 km down the road, and that's where you'll find a swimming pool, a shop and other services when you need to stock up or warm up. It's a quiet, well-sheltered stop for anyone working their way around the Breiðafjörður coast.
