Búðardalur

Búðardalur puts you in the centre of the village, directly across from the grocery store and the N1 and Olís stations — hard to be more convenient. The service building has hot and cold water, toilets, and showers, with laundry, a shared seating area, and a small kitchen corner running a kettle, microwave, and hotplate. Electricity covers both parts of the site: the upper area for motorhomes and caravans, the lower for tents. Walk a little and you'll reach cafés, restaurants, a craft store, an ATM, and postal services, plus a football field, playground, disc golf, and a jumping pillow. The new swimming pool adds hot tubs, a cold plunge, and a sauna. The Dalir region carries plenty of Icelandic history — Eiríksstaðir, Erpsstaðir Creamery, Hólar Zoo, and horse rental are all in reach. Three glamping cabins are available if you'd rather not pitch.
