Laugar í Sælingsdal

The draw at Laugar is the swimming pool sitting right on the campsite — you check in at the pool entrance. The site is in Sælingsdalur, about 16 km north of Búðardalur, in open countryside. A small stream runs through the ground and breaks it into several camping areas. It's close to the main road but tucked out of the traffic, so it stays quiet. You get toilets, electricity hookups and walking trails on the doorstep, with shops and services back in Búðardalur a short drive away. One useful detail: it's open all year, which is rare out here. That makes it a steady base for exploring the Dalir region, running up to the Strandir coast, or poking around the nearby valleys whatever the season.
