A hard-rated highland road connecting the north to F26 (Sprengisandur), Iceland's longest highland crossing.

Quieter than F26 — fewer vehicles use this northern approach than the main Sprengisandur route.

It functions as the northern gateway to Sprengisandur, joining F26's network rather than existing as a standalone destination.

The Hnjúkskvísl crossing carries glacial rock flour and needs the same respect as any glacial river crossing — check water levels before committing, and don't assume a previous vehicle's line is still safe if conditions have changed. A large 4x4 is the minimum on record.

What car do I need for F752?

A large 4x4 at minimum. It's rated hard difficulty, mainly because of the Hnjúkskvísl river crossing.

What's the Hnjúkskvísl river like?

It's a glacial river carrying rock flour (fine sediment), which can make the riverbed and visibility into the water unpredictable. Check current levels before crossing rather than relying on how it looked on a map or in someone else's trip report.

What does F752 connect to?

It's the northern approach to F26 (Sprengisandur), Iceland's longest highland road. Plan it as an entry point into that route.
