Djúpidalur is a family-run tourism and sheep farm in the Westfjords of Iceland. It is a welcoming stop for travellers looking to experience peaceful surroundings and the unique landscapes of the region. The property offers a campsite, cabins, guesthouse accommodation, studio apartments, and an indoor swimming pool. The valley was shaped by glaciers and is rich in geological features, making it an interesting destination for nature lovers and hikers. Guests can explore the surrounding landscape on foot and enjoy the area's fascinating geology and natural beauty. A geothermal borehole provides abundant hot water, and two electric vehicle charging stations are available on site. Dogs are welcome at the campsite but remain the responsibility of their owners. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and owners are required to clean up after them. Service Building A spacious service building is located near the campsite and offers toilets, seating areas, tables, chairs, and basic cooking facilities. The building can also be rented for private gatherings at designated times. A large jumping pillow is located next to the building and is popular with children. Campsite and Swimming Pool The campsite offers level grassy areas for tents as well as dedicated pitches for motorhomes and caravans with gravel surfaces and artificial grass. Electricity is available, and natural earth berms surrounding the campsite provide excellent shelter from the wind. Small service buildings on the campsite provide toilets, showers, and outdoor sinks. Guests can charge small electronic devices in secure charging lockers and have access to plentiful hot and cold water. The cabins accommodate up to four guests and feature a single bed, a double lower bunk, and a single upper bunk. Tables and chairs are provided, while toilets, showers, and cooking facilities are shared with campsite guests. An indoor swimming pool is located on the property, along with a hot tub and outdoor deck area. Children must be accompanied by an adult when using the pool, and swimming alone is not recommended.

Wild camping rules have tightened. Use designated campsites to stay on the right side of the law.
