Stokkseyri

Few villages pack in as much character as Stokkseyri. It has a Ghost museum, an Elf, Trolls and Northern Lights museum, a hunting museum and even a pipe-organ builder's workshop, plus art studios and galleries. The lobster restaurant Fjöruborðið is a draw in its own right, and there's a coffee house and a pizza-and-burger stop at the petrol station. The campsite has been given a recent overhaul — new toilets, showers, a washing machine and electric points. A playground sits on site, a disc-golf course lies just above it, and a footpath connects to the village centre. The local swimming pool is small and cosy, with hot tubs and a children's pool. The season runs May to the end of September.
