Siglufjörður Campsite comes in three spots around town: the Harbour site in the centre, Rammalóð by the police station, and Stóri Boli on the quieter south side near hiking trails. All three have toilets and electricity; the harbour site adds showers and laundry. Open mid-May to mid-October.
Few campsites let you pick your setting the way this one does. The Harbour site puts you in the middle of town by the water, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and museums. Rammalóð sits just across from the police station, a short walk from the centre. Stóri Boli, on the southern edge, trades the bustle for quiet and easy access to hiking trails. All three have toilets and electricity, while the harbour site also offers showers, a washing machine and dryer. Siglufjörður is known for its museums, including the Herring Era Museum, the Folk Music Center and the Icelandic Poetry Center. The season runs mid-May to mid-October, weather permitting, and pitches can be booked online through Parka.
Book ahead in summer, especially near popular spots. Campsites fill up by late afternoon.
