Coming from Reykjavík, drive through the village and take the left turn just before you head out the other side. It's worth knowing the house rules before you arrive. There's an age limit of 20, so anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian along, and quiet is expected after midnight so everyone gets some sleep. Electricity, showers, and hot and cold water are all on site. The season runs from 20 May to 1 October. With golf, horses and fishing on the doorstep, it works as an activity base as much as a place to sleep.
