Tjaldsvæðið Höfn í Hornafirði

Höfn's campsite greets you right at the edge of town, so you're close to everything as soon as you arrive. It's a spacious site with lots of flat ground and camping decks, and it looks out toward the glaciers that define this stretch of the south coast. Facilities are broad rather than basic. There are showers, a swimming pool, a washing machine, food service and even sleeping-bag accommodation and hostel space if you'd rather not pitch a tent. A golf course and walking paths are part of the mix too. Höfn is a well-known base for the south-east, and this site takes drop-ins, so it's an easy place to land for a night or use as a jumping-off point.
