About

mountain in Iceland [Icelandic info]: Norðvestur frá Blesa er Konungshver (9) . Hann hefur orðið til 1874, þegar Kristján 9. var á ferð.

Geysir, sometimes known as The Great Geysir, is a geyser in south-western Iceland, that geological studies suggest started forming about 1150 CE. The English word geyser derives from Geysir.

The mineral-rich water has its own smell - earthy, sulfurous. You get used to it. Then you start to love it.

The sulfur smell is normal. Your clothes will smell like it afterwards. Pack accordingly.
