About

Helztur þeirra er Smiður (24), með fallegri hrúðurskál. Hann fékk nafn 1907, þegar verið var að reisa konungshúsið. Þá voru þar margir smiðir, sem báru sápu í hverinn, og tók hann þá að gjósa. Síðan hefur hann gosið, þegar honum er gefinn smáskammtur, um 5 m gosi, mjög hreinu

Strokkur is a fountain-type geyser located in a geothermal area beside the Hvítá River in Iceland in the southwest part of the country, east of Reykjavík.

Steam rises around you as you sink into naturally heated water. The contrast of warm water and cold air is pure Iceland.

Natural hot springs vary in temperature - some spots are scalding, others barely warm. Test with your hand first, always.
