How long is the Lake hike?
The Lake trail is about 6.2 km based on its recorded GPS track. Times vary with pace, weather and how much you stop — plan conservatively and turn back early if conditions change.
How do I get to the Lake trailhead?
Lake is in North Iceland. Use the map on this page for the trailhead coordinates and check live road conditions before you drive — some trailheads sit on gravel or F-roads that need a 4×4 and only open in summer.
