Being open year-round and sitting inside the town are the two things that make this one useful. Shops, restaurants, a bakery, a fuel station and the swimming pool are all a short walk away, and a self-service payment station means you can check in on your own schedule. Free outdoor showers are on site, though plenty of guests simply use the pool a few minutes away. A nine-hole golf course sits right beside the campsite, with clubs to rent. It's a solid base for Snæfellsnes: boat trips around Breiðafjörður Bay, the crossing to Flatey Island, local museums, and the wide views from Súgandisey are all on the doorstep.
