Laugarhóll í Bjarnarfirði

Laugarhóll keeps the camping simple — a small toilet block and not much more — but it sits beside Hotel Laugarhóll in the green Bjarnarfjörður valley, about 24 km north of Hólmavík, with hiking trails running off along the river. The real comfort comes from the hotel, for a fee: a swimming pool, showers and a 40°C geothermal hot spring, all open daily until 22:00. The pool gets cleaned once a week and can stay shut until evening on those days, and glass isn't allowed in the pool area. A few things to plan around. There are only six electric outlets in the lower area, and charging an EV at the site is not allowed — there's a proper charger below the hotel instead. Quiet hours start at midnight, with no vehicle movement between 23:00 and 09:00. Open June through September.
