Ofærufoss is a waterfall on the Norðari-Ófæra river in Iceland's South Coast.
Ófærufoss is a waterfall situated in the Eldgjá chasm in the western part of Vatnajökull National Park, Iceland. Until the early 1990s a natural bridge spanned the falls, but it collapsed from natural causes.

Getting there- Route 223 via Northern Fjallabaksleið (F208) into Eldgjá canyon, then on foot; a track reaches the eastern edge of Eldgjá
Heads up- Reaching the falls requires fording the Nyrðri-Ófæra river at a wading point, which can be risky
Falls in two cascades- A natural stone arch spanned the lower cascade until it collapsed during the spring thaw in 1993
- Located within the Eldgjá volcanic canyon; the peak Gjátindur nearby offers a viewpoint over Eldgjá and the falls
