How do I book Skælingar?

Skælingar is booked through huts.is, the Icelandic Touring Association's booking system. Popular huts on the Laugavegur trail fill up months ahead for the summer — reserve early. Prices and availability change year to year.

What should I bring to Skælingar?

Huts provide mattresses but not bedding, so bring a sleeping bag (a liner adds warmth). Pack your own food and a stove — most huts have a shared kitchen but no shop. Cash or a card for the warden, layers for cold nights, and a headtorch.

How do I get to Skælingar?
