Hoffellsjökull is an outlet glacier which flows from the ice cap of Vatnajökull. It is located in the municipality of Hornafjörður, southeast Iceland.
The scale is hard to grasp. These ice giants have been here longer than human civilization.
Ice caves are winter-only experiences. In summer, they collapse. Book ahead in peak season.
