Surge-type outlet glacier on the northeastern margin of Vatnajökull. It's part of the Vatnajökull Group. The name comes from the Eyjabakkar marsh area.
Never walk on glaciers without a guide and proper equipment. Crevasses can be hidden by snow bridges.
