Snekkjufoss is a waterfall in West Iceland.
It lies along the course of the river Hólmskelsá, which originates from the Snæfellsjökull glacier. From the glacier the river flows northward and plunges into the Blágil ("blue gorge") gorge, forming the waterfall Snekkjufoss; the river then continues on to empty into the Breiðafjörður fjord, near Rif, a small fishing village that is part of the municipality of Snæfellsbær. A short distance upstream along the same river is the waterfall Kerlingarfoss, while the waterfall Klukkufoss is located a little way off to the west, though it is fed by a different river.
