Hvítárnes is a backcountry hut in Highlands. Booking is handled by the operating touring association — check huts.is for the current reservation system, and book well ahead in summer.
What should I bring to Hvítárnes?
Huts provide mattresses but not bedding, so bring a sleeping bag (a liner adds warmth). Pack your own food and a stove — most huts have a shared kitchen but no shop. Cash or a card for the warden, layers for cold nights, and a headtorch.
How do I get to Hvítárnes?
