There's the Sea Monster Museum and a music museum, plus boat trips for sailing or fishing. The valley of Selárdalur and the Jón Sigurðsson museum at Hrafneyri are close by. Further out, the Westfjords open up: the Dynjandi waterfall, a hot spring in Reykjafjörður, the beach at Rauðisandur, and the Látrabjarg bird cliffs, the largest in Europe. It's a first-come site, no booking taken.
