Rjúkandisfoss is a waterfall on the Rjúkandi river in the Westfjords of Iceland.
Rjúkandafoss is a waterfall in the Westfjords of Iceland. The river Rjúkandi plunges about 35 m, then flows into the Hvalá, which empties into Ófeigsfjörður. The waterfall has a fan shape like its larger relative Dynjandi. Because of this shape, it was used by sailors in Húnaflói as a clearly visible landmark. The remote fjord, no longer inhabited year-round, is reached via the highland road Ófeigsfjarðarvegur (road F649). The river Hvalá is the most water-rich in the Westfjords, and there are considerations to harness its hydropower.
