About

Rjúkandafoss is a waterfall in West Iceland.

The Rjúkandafoss is a waterfall in the eastern part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, in western Iceland. The Sátudalsá river, in which the waterfall lies, originates between the 512-metre-high Sáta and the Svínafell, and first flows into the Höfðaá, which from there onward is called the Haffjarðará and ultimately empties into Faxaflói. The Rjúkandafoss is one of the largest waterfalls of Snæfellsnes. No road or footpath leads to the waterfall, so visitors must find their own way to it.
