Giljafoss is a waterfall located high up on the Reykjadalsá river and is visible from afar across Reykholtsdalur valley. It is possible to walk behind Giljafoss, allowing one to pass under the river with dry feet. The Reykjadalsá can be crossed by a bridge into the southern part of the valley, or one can continue further up the valley.
