Snæfellsjökull is a 700,000-year-old glacier-capped stratovolcano in western Iceland. It is situated on the westernmost part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Sometimes it may be seen from the city of Reykjavík over Faxa Bay, at a distance of 120 km (75 mi).

Hlöðufell is a tuya volcano, located about 10 km southwest of Langjökull, Iceland. Hlöðufell is 1188 metres above sea level, and was formed when lava erupted through Langjökull during the Pleistocene. The tuya also has the characteristics of a composite volcano.

Ok is a shield volcano in Iceland, to the west of Langjökull. It erupted during interglacials in the Pleistocene, and is in proximity to the Prestahnúkur and Oddnýjarhnjúkur-Langjökull volcanic systems. The volcano was once topped by the Okjökull glacier, which may now only be represented by isolated patches of ice, even if still shown on current maps. At its top is the crater lake of Blávatn, which can freeze over.

Stóra-Björnsfell is an elongated medium-sized tuya located in Iceland. It contains pillow lava, hyaloclastite and sheet lava. The volcano formed when a subglacial eruption occurred beneath an ice sheet during the last ice age. Stóra-Björnsfell's pillow lava appears originally to have erupted from a fissure.

Þverfellshorn is a peak in the Esjan mountains of Capital Region in southwestern Iceland. It is located roughly 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) by air northeast of Reykjavík. It is one of the most visited peaks in Iceland, attracting hikers for its scenic views. Its elevation range is 820 metres (2,690 ft) - 840 metres (2,760 ft). The car park at the foot of the mountain is known as "Mógilsá".

Á sumrum sjást svartir hamraveggir Kirkjunnar vel úr Skaftafelli en á veturna er hún ekki síður tilkomumikil, klædd þykkri ísbrynju sem gaman er að sjá í návígi. Það er snúið að klífa Kirkjuna og aðeins á færi mjög vanra fjallamanna. Bergið er afar laust í sér og því ekki ráðlegt að klífa hana nema á snjó og ís með ísklifurbúnað.

Kirkjufell is a 463 m high hill on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. It is claimed to be the most photographed mountain in the country. Kirkjufell was one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones season 6 and 7, featuring as the "arrowhead mountain" that the Hound and the company north of the Wall see when capturing a wight.

Kollóttadyngja is a shield volcano in the Ódáðahraun lava-field in Iceland. Its height reaches 1,177 metres, and it has a diameter of 6–7 km. The summit crater is 800 metres in diameter, but only about 20–30 metres deep. In its centre, there is a bowl about 150 metres in diameter with a depth of about 60–70 metres.

It is claimed to be the windiest place in Europe, and holds the record for the lowest on land observation of air pressure in Europe. The name means great cape and is also the name of a street in Reykjavík's Höfði industrial area.
Hnúkar eru upp af bænum. Eru þeir allháir og áberandi. Sagt er að Kollur á Kollsstöðum hafi farið upp á hnúkana og hent þaðan staf sínum og hann komið niður hjá Kollslæk í Hálsasveit. Bærinn var áður þar sem beitarhúsin eru. Hnúkarnir hafa þá heitir Kollshamar og bærinn Kollshamar.

Katla is an active subglacial volcano in southern Iceland. This volcano has been very active historically with at least twenty documented major eruptions since 2920 BC. In its recent history though, Katla has been less active as the last major eruption occurred in 1918. These eruptions have had a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) of between 4 and 5 on a scale of 0 to 8. In comparison, the Eyjafjallajökull 2010 eruption had a VEI of 4. Helgafell is a small mountain on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula of Iceland. The mountain is 73 metres (240 ft) high. A temple in honor of Thor (Þór) was built there by Þórólfr Mostrarskegg, the first settler of the area. Lending var upp í sandinn nefnd Stöð. Þarna beygir fjaran og klettar mynda vinkil og á blettir er skjól úr öllum áttum. Þótti gott að láta fé liggja þarna. Stöðin er rétt niður undan Ormalæknum, hann rennur niður í vinkilinn.
