bay in Iceland [Icelandic info]: Í skrá Þjóðminjasafns Íslands yfir friðlýstar fornleifar segir "a. Rústir eyðibýlisins Húsavíkur, við lón nokkur sem þar er austur frá við sjóinn." Í Árbók FÍ frá 1937 segir "Fyrr á öldum var þessi jörð [Hnappavellir] mun minni en nú en undir Hnappavellina hafa síðar lagst jarðir sem voru austar og eyddust ýmist af vantaágangi eða jökulhlaupum. Með vissu vita menn um þrjár, en þær voru Húsavík sem var austur undir Öldulóni og nærri sjó. Sú jörð hefir sennilega eyðst í jökulhlaupi á 14. öld." Í örnefnaskrá segir: "Stórugrjótin eru leifar eftir jökulhlaup. Niður af þeim, við lónið, er talið að bærinn Húsavík hafi staðið." Þarna mótar fyrir gamalli vík og örnefnið heldur sér.

Héraðsflói is a bay in eastern Iceland, formed by the outflowing of the Jökulsá á Brú and Lagarfljót rivers. The ~25 km-long beach is the Héraðssandur.

Hornafjörður is a small fjord in southeastern Iceland. The town Höfn is located on its shores, and the Stokksnes headland is nearby.
Bakkaflói is a bay in the northeastern region of Iceland. It is north of Bakkafjordur and southeast of Langanes.

Berufjörður is a fjord in Eastern Iceland. It is about 20 kilometres long and 2 to 5 kilometres wide. The village Djúpivogur is located on its western shores. Mt. Búlandstindur which is 1,069 metres above sea level is located west of the fjord. Route 1 passes on its shores.
