Currently (check updates) it's too warm for comfortable bathing. The cave is beautiful regardless - steam rises from blue water beneath lava formations. The setting is dramatic. Free to visit but respect the site. It's become too popular for its own good. The real Mývatn hot spring experience is at the Nature Baths.
