Can I visit Lónsöræfi?
Lónsöræfi is a protected nature reserve in East Iceland. Most Icelandic reserves are open to the public on foot, but each has its own rules — some restrict off-trail walking, camping, dogs or drones, and bird reserves limit access during the spring nesting season. Check the on-site signage and the Environment Agency (Umhverfisstofnun) page before you go.
