About this tour

Join us for a winter adventure in the Krafla area of Lake Myvatn on snowshoes.

On this tour we will walk around in Krafla volcano park exploring the lava formations and steamy geothermal area in the winter wonder of lake Mývatn area

We will drive to Krafla from our office and start the tour there. The walk takes a little more than two hours so expect around a three hour excursion. Please dress warm as we will be in a mountain area in the cold and snow and bring drinks and a snack with you.

What to bring

  • Bring good hiking boots, warm winter clothing, hat, sunglasses and gloves.
  • Food and drink in your backpack.

Good to know

  • Please dress well and according to the weather forecast for the day in Krafla area.

  • Tours can be cancelled by tour operator because of weather, safety reasons or any other reason tour operator consider necessary at any time, in that case we will refund customer the total of tour our price.
  • Customer can cancel tour two days or earlier prior to tour for a full refund of tour price. Cancellations day before departure is refunded 50%
  • We can not refund cancellations of tours on the day of customers scheduled tour.
