Golden Circle Gourmet

The Private Golden Circle & Tomato Farm Tour is a comprehensive 10-hour adventure starting with a flexible pickup at your accommodation in either Keflavík (08:00) or Reykjavík (08:30) . As this is a private experience, your group of 1–7 participants will have the exclusive attention of an experienced guide and a dedicated vehicle for the entire duration of the day.

The journey begins with a visit to Þingvellir National Park , a UNESCO World Heritage site located in a dramatic rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates diverge. Guests can walk through the historic landscape where the world’s first parliament was founded, surrounded by stunning geological formations. The tour continues to the Great Geysir Geothermal Area , home to the reliable Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, providing excellent photo opportunities alongside bubbling mud pools and steaming vents.

A highlight of the route is Gullfoss , the "Golden Waterfall," where the powerful Hvítá river plunges into a deep, rugged canyon. Following the waterfall, the tour takes a unique detour to the Friðheimar Tomato Farm . Here, participants explore a geothermally heated greenhouse and enjoy a farm-to-table lunch experience among the tomato plants, learning about sustainable Icelandic farming. The final major stop is the Kerið Volcanic Crater , famous for its vivid red volcanic rock and the striking neon-blue lake situated at its bottom.

Throughout the day, your guide provides deep insights into Iceland’s volcanic geology, history, and the effects of climate change on the local environment.
