What to bring
- HIKING BOOTS ARE MANDATORY.
- Warm clothes (first layer). Waterproof outdoor clothing.
- Good warm clothes during the winter. Hat and gloves.
- Hiking boots above the ankle (available for rent is you ask for) .
- Jeans are not recommended for outdoor trips as they become very heavy and cold when they get wet.

- Rocky terrain on the way to the glacier and the glacier hike takes about 3.5 hours in total.
- During the glacier hike, we will spend 45 minutes to 1 hour on the ice.
- Minimum age is 8 years old for the Glacier Hike.
- The hike is rated as easy to moderate.
- The weather in Iceland can be unpredictable, especially during winter. Therefore, you can experience all kinds of weather conditions in a single day.
- Please Note: We recommend that participants be ready at the meeting point location at least 20 minutes before departure.
- Why you need to arrive at least 20 minutes before departure time?
- We need to get everyone fitted with the equipment, crampons, helmets, harnesses and ice axe. The crampons need to be adjusted to each persons shoe size so it is important that people arrive 20 minutes before so everyone is ready at the departure time.
