If weather and safety conditions are favorable, We can take a short hike to see the new lave fields. If hiking to the new lava isn’t feasible, alternative activities will be offered to ensure a memorable experience in this stunning landscape.

Your tour begins with pickup at your accommodation in Hvolsvöllur or Reykjavík. From there, you’ll head south to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula’s otherworldly landscapes and intriguing sights.This unforgettable adventure lasts approximately 8 hours, with pickup in Reykjavík starting between 09:30 and 10:00 am.

  • The hike itself will take approximately 2 - 3 hours, sometimes over rough terrain, so a level of physical exertion and therefore fitness level is required.
  • If you are used to walking/hiking around and are in reasonable physical condition you will find this hike relatively easy to moderate.
