Total Solar Eclipse 2026: Small-Group Tour from Reykjavík

Experience one of the most incredible natural events of our lifetime in one of Iceland’s most beautiful regions. On August 12th, 2026, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula will be one of the best places in the country to see the total solar eclipse, with peak darkness around 17:48.

This small-group tour starts in Reykjavík and takes you west through stunning coastlines, lava fields, volcanic craters, black-sand beaches, and the famous Snæfellsjökull glacier.

At the eclipse viewing area, we set up a special camp where experts will explain how to safely watch and photograph the eclipse. You will receive high-quality eclipse glasses that you can keep as a souvenir of this rare day.

While waiting, enjoy a light picnic in the fresh Icelandic nature. When the eclipse begins, watch as daylight slowly turns into darkness — a truly unforgettable moment. After totality, we will celebrate together with a toast before heading back to Reykjavík.
