This private tour is a day trip to all our hand-picked sites of this famous area of Iceland. This celebrated area is rich with history and boasts powerful waterfalls, geothermal hot pools, erupting geysers, separating continental plates, luxurious hot pools and delicious food.
Your private guide will pick you up from your accommodation to start the day by walking through the serene and historic grounds of Þingvellir National Park , scarred by the separating continental plates. Learn about year round food production in often cold and dark Iceland, eating lunch at the Friðheimar tomato farm restaurant & greenhouse . Be hypnotised by the surging flow of the majestic Gullfoss waterfall . Be surprised by the sudden eruption of the geysers at Geysir geothermal area.
As we make our way back to Reykjavík, we will detour to the luxurious Sky Lagoon geothermal Spa, where you will have plenty of time to relax in the calming waters, over-looking the sea. With their 7 step ritual to cleanse and invigorate, you won't notice the time flying by as the sun sets. Your Hidden Iceland guide will wait patiently before returning you to Reykjavík in time for dinner.
Please note , the return time to Reykjavík will depend on how much time you intend to spend in the lagoon, recommended 2 hours.

What to bring
- Warm clothes and waterproof outer layers are important, especially in winter, but it can get chilly at any time of year in Iceland. If you prefer Hidden Iceland to provide thin waterproof outer layers and boots for you, free of charge, get in touch ahead of the tour with rough sizes.
Good to know
- This tour is categorised as easy and can be amended to reduce any longer walking sections or uneven terrain, such as at the Gullfoss waterfall. The ability to walk for a few hundred metres and good mobility of knees and ankles will enhance your enjoyment of the day.
- Children under the age of 12 are not permitted at Sky Lagoon. Visitors ages 12 – 14 must be accompanied by a guardian (18 years or older).
